Rakesh Chaurasia – Call of Krishna
Rakesh Chaurasia is the nephew and disciple of the legendary flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. Adept at playing the popular and folk music, he is equally at home in the Indian classical genre. In Sona Rupa’s "Mind, Body & Soul" Collection Series, this very gifted flautist has already made his mark on the international scene with Solo and collaborative tracks in various albums.
Despite constant demands by the "Bollywood" industry for his services towards film and stage music, he has not shied away from his ambition to carve a niche for himself in the Indian classical genre. Over the last few years, he has increasingly accompanied Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia on the international classical stage that has helped to hone his skills further.
