Abida - Ghazal Ka Safar Volume 1
Ghazal! The word originates from Arabic, meaning "way or mannerism of talking about women." Thus in fact its an expression of love! The ghazal originated in Iran in the 10th century A.D. The poetic form of ghazal was developed further and to its maximum potential in Iran and in India where Persian was the court language of the Turcomans, Afghans and the Mughals who ruled in the North, and the Bahamanis and their successors in the South. But in this ever-changing world, ghazals have become a reflection of life around us and now there is hardly any sphere of human interaction, which the ghazals haven't touched.
