Sulochana Brahaspati is a renowned Indian artist who has had a thorough training in traditional vocal music, and performs in the dhrupad, khyal, thumri, dadra and tappa genres.

On this Cd, she renders raga Bilaskhani Todi in the classical khyal tradition, followed by a tappa composition in raga Mishra Bhairavi. She is accompanied by Sultan Khan on Sarangi and Anindo Chatterjee on Tabla, both top-ranking artists with a well-established international career.
